The Princess Encyclopedia

I went to an elementary school book fair today, don't ask why, but I saw the Princess Encyclopedia. I couldn't help myself and bought it. I have a weird obsession with the Disney Princesses. The book tells the story of each princess and then gives funny stories to go along with each princess. Also has details on other characters from the stories. For example, the Snow White chapter gives a list of ways to clean your house with the help of friendly forest animals. It just cracked me up and I loved it. Im still a little girl at heart, what can I say.

first semester

I originally thought that I was going to breeze through my four classes without any difficulty at all. I expected to be able to do barely nothing and still pass with an A. Recently I came to the conclusion that you actually have to DO the work in order to pass your classes. I'm not saying that I can't get my grades up or that I can't get good grades because I can. Were not that far into the semester but I do need to seriously start to take this seriously because if I don't, I'm not going to be able to transfer next fall like I hoped I would. I will admit though that I like all my professors and classes. And going to a class that doesn't make me want to shoot myself in the head is a good enough class for me.

Books and movies

It made me happy to see that I have read and seen many of the books and movies on your lists. In an odd way it makes me feel like my weird movie and book obsession isn't too much of a waste of time. Ok so my recommendations for books are the Twilight series and the Sisterhood of the travel pants series. They have to be my favorite to read. I think it's because I don't like reaching an end to a book so reading series of books let me prolong that for a longer period of time. And my movie recommendations if you haven't seen them already would be:
My Cousin Vinny
The Shawshank Redemption
Girl, Interrupted
The Notebook (because everyone needs to get notebooked at least one in their life)
Fight Club
Cast Away
Kill Bills
Finding Nemo
And this list could probably go on forever because I have a movie obsession but i'll end it there

new language

When I heard about this new language I got excited. I think it is pretty cool that out of nowhere scientists have found a new language that is different from the rest. Its weird to think that people just come up with their own languages and honestly I think I might lose my mind if i tried to think about how languages start and who starts them and the beginning of it all. However it is an interesting topic and I hope that there will be more discovers like that in the future.

HPV Vaccine texas tyranny

This essay is annoying. If the drug companies are so adamant about the requirements of an HPV vaccination why don't they use some of their enormous profits to cover some of the costs. Sure the vaccinations are free, if results for HPV are positive then the profits and expenses go up. Its just wrong, you should not be allowed to order young girls to get the HPV vaccine considering that as said in the text the vaccine is completely worthless as a medical treatment. My opinion is that it is just a stupid way for the government to make money.

Semicolon

I know that the assignment for this weeks blog was suppose to be a happy news article, but I found a website that made me happy so I need to blog about it. This website is titled "How to use a semicolon" and it is a comic way to teach people how to properly use a semicolon. I found it funny and unique and thought I'd be nice and share the link with you. If you go through and read the comics, you'll see that they use funny ways to teach to explain just how to use a semicolon and when not to. It's the perfect way to learn about semicolons when your like me and need some kind of entertainment to keep you listening.
